...The Frost/Freeze Program will end on October 1st for much of
Northern and Eastern Maine...

Frost and freeze headlines will no longer be issued this fall
season as of October 1st for much of northern and eastern Maine.
The program will remain active until October 11th for southern
Penobscot County which includes the Greater Bangor Region, and
until October 21st for Hancock County and central and coastal
Washington County.

We do appreciate that some farmers and gardeners may continue to
take protective measures. Farmers and gardeners can still refer
to the frost/freeze potential in our forecast products at
weather.gov/car until the frost/freeze season ends for all of
northern and eastern Maine on October 21st.
