The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southwestern Clarendon County in central South Carolina...
  Southwestern Sumter County in central South Carolina...
  East central Orangeburg County in central South Carolina...

* Until 600 AM EDT.

* At 533 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 7 miles southeast of Santee State Park, or 18 miles
  southwest of Manning, moving north at 75 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Poinsett State Park around 545 AM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Cane
Savannah, Rimini, St. Paul, Vance, Eutawville, Wedgewood, Indian
Bluff Recreation Park, Pinewood, Cherryvale, and Mill Creek Marina
and Campground.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 99 and 107.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a
vehicle, move to an interior room or closet on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building immediately.

Tornadoes from tropical storms or hurricanes can form and move very
quickly. Do not wait to see or hear the tornado. Immediately move to
an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.

Tornadoes are nearly impossible to see at night. Do not wait to see
or hear the tornado. Immediately move to an interior room or closet
on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.

This Tornado Warning includes portions of Lake Marion. Boaters, move
to shore and take shelter on the lowest floor of the closest sturdy
building!
