...Multiple Tornadoes Confirmed in the SC Midlands Associated
with Helene...

Storm surveys are ongoing and will continue on Monday, but several
tornadoes have been confirmed across the Midlands.

An EF1 tornado began near Canaan, moving north-northwest before
dissipating northwest of Cordova.

An EF1 tornado began in northern Orangeburg county crossing
western Calhoun county before dissipating in southeast Lexington
county near Gaston.

An EF0 tornado began southeast of Branchville near the Orangeburg
county line and moved north-northwestward before dissipating north
of Rowesville.

An EF0 tornado began near the Orangeburg county line along
Reevesville Rd near Rigby Rd and moved north-northwest near Bowman
before dissipating east of Orangeburg near Highway 301.


More detailed statements will be issued when storm surveys are
completed over the next day or two.
