Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
309 PM EDT Thu Apr 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Moisture increases will lead to higher dewpoints for Friday with
min RH values in the afternoon around 30 percent as opposed to
around 20 percent that we are seeing today. Winds will remain out
of the south Friday through the weekend. Shallow moisture and
southerly winds are favorable for patchy fog so we may see early
morning fog on Friday and again Saturday. The next chance of rain
and potentially thunderstorms will hold off until early next
week.

Fog Potential through Tonight: Fog along rivers/lakes possible.
