Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
137 AM EDT Tue Oct 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Today and Wednesday should have northerly winds as dry conditions
continue with high pressure in the region. A dry cold front is
expected to push through from the north Wednesday night into
Thursday morning, turning winds a bit more out of the northeast
and bringing a shot of cooler/drier air. This batch of drier air
may allow afternoon minimum RH values to be near or even below
35% on Thursday and possibly again Friday. Winds then start to
turn more southerly over the weekend with mostly dry conditions
expected, though moisture should be increasing Saturday into
Sunday ahead of another front.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy fog possible.
