Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
102 PM EDT Wed Aug 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

As wet conditions continue with widespread showers expected through
the rest of the week, cool northeasterly winds will persist and then
slowly weaken as we head into the weekend. Expect deep moisture to
remain over the region this weekend and result in continued shower and
thunderstorm activity. There is a chance to see an isolated risk for
flooding through early next week.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy fog
