Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1251 PM EDT Sun Aug 24 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front will approach the region by this evening before
crossing the area on Monday. A wind shift behind the front will
turn winds out of the north to northwest on Monday afternoon and
evening. A cooler and drier air mass will settle over the area for
the remainder of the week. Despite the drier air, daily Min RH
Values look to only fall into the 40-50% range.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy ground fog is possible in fog prone
locations.
