Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1238 PM EDT Mon Oct 13 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Mostly clear skies are expected tonight with light winds as
high pressure begins to slowly work into the area. Tuesday and
Wednesday should have northerly winds as dry conditions continue
with high pressure in the region. A dry cold front it expected to
pass Wednesday night into Thursday morning, turning winds a bit more
out of the northeast and bringing a shot of cooler/drier air. This
batch of drier air may allow afternoon minimum RH values to be near
or even below 35% on Thursday and possibly again Friday. Winds then
start to turn more southerly over the weekend with mostly dry conditions
expected, though moisture should be increasing Sunday and into the early
week ahead of another potential front.

Fog potential tonight: Fog is not expected.
