Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
228 AM EDT Mon Aug 18 2025

.DISCUSSION...
The day should begin with areas of patchy fog, especially across
the southern and eastern portions of the forecast area. Otherwise,
another hot and humid day is expected with only a low, less than
30 percent, chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and
evening. Rain chances are highest across the northern half of the
forecast area. Tuesday and Wednesday are not as hot with a lower
risk for rain. The chance for showers and thunderstorms then
increases during the late week period and into the weekend.

Fog potential tonight: Low
