Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
131 AM EDT Wed Jul 2 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Southwesterly flow ahead of an approaching weak front will lead
to a moist air mass with widespread showers and thunderstorms
today. As the front moves through and drier air settles into
the region from the north and west, expect limited storm coverage
on Thursday, mainly favoring the eastern portion of the area
closer to the coast. Typical summertime isolated to scattered
storm coverage expected into the weekend. RH values will remain
above critical levels through the forecast period.

Fog Potential Tonight: Patchy fog possible.
