...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in South
Carolina...

  Congaree River At Carolina Eastman affecting Richland, Calhoun
  and Lexington Counties.

  Saluda River At Saluda River at Chappells affecting Saluda,
  Greenwood and Newberry Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Carolina...

  Congaree River At Congaree River at Congaree NP Near Gadsden
  affecting Richland and Calhoun Counties.

  Stevens Creek Near Modoc affecting McCormick and Edgefield
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor
rising water levels and take action if necessary.

Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid
traveling in this area. Turn around, don`t drown.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Saluda River at Saluda River at Chappells.

* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Lowlands around and downstream from
  Chappells become flooded. Cattle grazing river bottomland should
  be moved to higher ground.
  At 16.0 feet, Extensive farmland and river bottomland around and
  downstream from Chappells become flooded.
  At 18.0 feet, The Saluda River Campground including the Campground
  Store downstream from Chappells becomes flooded. Campers should
  move to higher ground.
  At 21.0 feet, Extensive flooding occurs. Farmland and river
  bottomland around and downstream from Chappells become flooded.
  Much of the Saluda River Campground downstream from Chappells
  become flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 17.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM EDT Tuesday was 17.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.2
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Stevens Creek near Modoc.

* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Farmland along Stevens Creek above the US
  Highway 23 bridge near Modoc becomes flooded.
  At 26.0 feet, Low lying and flood prone areas near Martintown Road
  become flooded. Residents along Stevens Creek in the Riverhills
  subdivision should take precautions to protect life and property
  from flood waters.
  At 28.0 feet, The Garrett Road bridge over Stevens Creek below
  Clarks Hill will flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 27.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM EDT Tuesday was 27.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.1
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Congaree River at Carolina Eastman.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon to early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 115.0 feet, Flooding occurs in low lying areas of the
  Carolina Eastman Facility and at the Congaree National Park.
  At 119.0 feet, Extensive flooding occurs in the Congaree National
  Park. Some area farmland is flooded. Minor flooding occurs at the
  Carolina Eastman Facility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 109.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 114.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 118.8 feet Thursday
    evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 115.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING TO MONDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Congaree River at Congaree River at Congaree NP Near
  Gadsden.

* WHEN...From Wednesday evening to Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flooding begins in the Congaree National
  Park. This will begin to produce flooding of portions of the lower
  boardwalk.
  At 17.0 feet, The access road to the Sandy Run subdivision becomes
  flooded. The lower boardwalk in the Congaree National Park becomes
  flooded by Cedar Creek.
  At 18.0 feet, Several homes in the Sandy Run subdivision along the
  river become flooded. At 18 feet the river covers the Weston Lake
  overlook in the Congaree National Park. Between 18 and 18.5 feet
  the river begins to cover sections of the elevated boardwalk.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 7.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow evening to a crest of 17.0 feet early Friday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
