...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Fairfield, Kershaw and Lancaster.

* WHEN...Until 515 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 215 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lancaster, Winnsboro, Springdale, Elgin, Lake Wateree State
    Park, Liberty Hill, Longtown, Fairfield County Airport,
    Blackstock, Irwin, Ridgeway, Mitford, Fairfield County
    Detention Center, White Oak, Fairfield Elementary School,
    Winnsboro Mills, Rion and Lake Wateree near Highway 97.
  - This includes Interstate 77 between mile markers 34 and 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.
