A few snow showers will persist over the area through the evening
with reductions in visibility at times, but the threat of
significant accumulating snow has ended. Slick spots are possible
tonight into early Friday in areas where moisture remains on the
roads.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations between 10 and 18
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Beartooth Foothills and Red Lodge Foothills.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, including US-212, will be slick and hazardous.
  Travel will be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the evening commute.

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow. Total snow accumulations
  between 1 and 2 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains and Crazy Mountains.

* WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be impacted by heavy
  accumulating and blowing snow. Avalanche danger will increase.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest amounts will fall on north and
  east facing slopes. Locations such as Cooke City will see much
  lower amounts, between 4 and 8 inches.

* WHAT...Heavy wet snow. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 12
  inches, greatest close to the mountains. Winds gusting as high as
  35 mph.

* WHERE...In Montana, Bighorn Canyon and Southern Big Horn. In
  Wyoming, Sheridan Foothills.

* WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, including Interstate 90, will be slick and
  hazardous. Travel could be very difficult with poor visibilities.
  The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect most snow to accumulate on grassy
  surfaces. The highest amounts will fall along and west of I-90,
  especially in the higher terrain.

* WHERE...Northern Carbon.

* WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will be
  slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

  visibility. Recreation in the high country will be impacted by
