...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CUSTER COUNTY
THROUGH 945 PM MDT...

At 908 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 16 miles north of Miles City. These storms were
moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Miles City and Matthews Recreation Area. Strong winds near the
storms are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM MDT for
southeastern Montana.
