For tonight, expect relatively poor humidity recoveries in the foothills and nearby plains. In addition, a southerly low level jet will be active again along the Montana/Dakota border which may affect any ongoing fires overnight. High pressure will prevail again Wednesday with even hotter conditions across most districts. By late afternoon isolated dry thunderstorms are possible, with a mix of wet and dry possible into the evening as they track east. Any that do form could produce strong wind gusts over 50 mph, along with dry lightning. A few showers or a thundershower may linger in the eastern districts overnight. Main cold front arrives Thursday for cooler temperatures and higher RH values Thursday afternoon. Best chance for widespread wetting rain is Thursday night into Friday morning.
