The low pressure system which brought widespread rain and strong winds is departing. Expect lingering showers over southeast MT to diminish by daybreak. W-NW winds will remain breezy for much of the day (30-40 mph gusts, strongest east), but they will decrease in the afternoon & evening. Tonight will be dry with much less wind. Look for warmer and drier conditions Friday in advance of a Pacific cold front, which will bring a few light showers Friday night. The weekend is looking dry, then another disturbance may bring some showers Monday.
