...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 8
  to 14 inches in the most persistent lake snows which will mainly
  be across higher terrain such as the Boston and Wyoming Hills.
  Winds gusting as high as 50 mph, producing considerable blowing
  and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Wyoming and Southern Erie Counties.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
  will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the morning and evening commutes on Thursday. Gusty
  winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be
prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just

  as high as 50 mph will produce considerable blowing and drifting
  snow.

* WHERE...Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
  will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the morning and evening commutes on Thursday. Gusty
  winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.

  will produce considerable blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
  will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning and evening
  commutes. Gusty winds will down tree branches and cause isolated
  power outages.
