A strong cold front will cross the region this afternoon and evening. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible as the front tracks across Western New York and the Northern Finger Lakes. The greatest threat is from strong to severe gusty winds, with large hail also possible. An isolated tornado is also possible for areas of southwestern New York.
