...Fire Weather Concerns Exist Across Rutland and Windsor
Counties of Vermont Today...

Fuels remain unusually dry across portions of southern Vermont
according to the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and
Recreation. This, combined with gusty westerly winds of 30 to 40
mph may have an impact on rates of fire spread today despite
higher humidity. If any fires were to start the weather and fuel
conditions could cause fires to quickly get out of control and be
difficult to contain. Ongoing wildfires may will have increased
burn activity this morning through this afternoon. Winds will
decrease this evening.

For more information about the current fire danger rating, any
burn restrictions, and wildfire prevention and education, please
visit your state forestry or environmental protection website.
Remember, a burn ban is in effect for all of Vermont through
November 11th, which means no open burning is allowed.
