Subject:Establishment of action stage, as well as minor,
moderate and major flood stages for the stream
gauge at Hogansburg, NY on the St. Regis River
(SREN6)

Effective at 1200 Coordinated Universal Time on Thursday, December
5, 2024, the National Weather Service will establish action stage,
as well as minor, moderate and major flood levels above Gauge Zero
for the stream gauge at Hogansburg, NY (SREN6) on the St. Regis
River. Those are listed below. Flood stages for this gauge were
previously undefined.

Action Stage (Bankfull)19.0 feet
Minor Flood Stage21.0 feet
Moderate Flood Stage23.0 feet
Major Flood Stage25.0 feet

These new flood stages and accompanying impact statements will help
enhance local situational awareness during future high water events.
The establishment of these levels are part of a recent evaluation
of the floodplain and high water impacts with St. Regis Mohawk
Emergency Management.
