.DISCUSSION...
Any fire weather concerns will begin to decrease after a breezy
night with gusts of 15 to 25 mph, locally to 35 mph in the
Champlain Valley pre-dawn today. Showers and a few thunderstorms
are working their way into northern New York at this time. They
will continue to periodically develop as they shift north-
northeast along a slow moving cold front. Although activity will
be hit or miss, there will be several opportunities to pick up
rain with moderate to heavy rates within the core of these showers
and storms. Most areas should pick up about 0.25-0.50", locally
as high as 1.00-1.50" over the next two days. Cloud cover and
precipitation should keep relative humidity values at or above 55
percent today. Some drying on Monday could bring it down to 45
percent later in the day.
