.DISCUSSION...
It has been nearly 10 days since Vermont and northern New York
have seen appreciable rain. Winds today will pick up to 5 to 10
mph out of the north this afternoon, with a few gusts to 15 mph
possible. Mostly sunny, warm weather will continue as temperatures
climb into the upper 70s to mid 80s again. Minimum relative
humidity values this afternoon should be about 40 to 50 percent,
in general. Overall, no meteorological thresholds for fire weather
concerns will be met.
For Friday, temperatures will begin to cool as a backdoor front
approaches, but still in the mid 70s to near 80. A shower or two
will be possible with increased clouds. As a result minimum
relative humidity values should remain above 50 percent. Rainfall
will be localized, and generally a few hundredths at most in the
core of any shower that manages to develop. Fire weather concerns
are not anticipated.
