Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Small Craft Exercise Caution (SCEC) conditions
continue for the Laguna Madre and nearshore (0-20 nm) Gulf waters
this afternoon, but northerly winds are expected to continue to
gradually diminish as the evening progresses. Small Craft Advisory
continues for the offshore (20-60 nm) waters till 9 PM tonight
and should give way to SCEC conditions overnight tonight. Gentle
to moderate winds return tomorrow with winds transitioning back to
south-southeasterly tomorrow night. Additional rounds of SCEC are
possible this week as a pressure gradient tightens ahead of the
next front passing through this upcoming weekend.
