Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to strong northeast flow and increasing seas
can be expected through Monday as tropical storm Milton,
approximately 250 miles southeast of Port Isabel, moves slowly
eastward. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will
continue to pass over the coastal waters before tapering off
tonight as Milton tracks farther away from the lower Texas
coast. A light to moderate northerly wind field is forecast
through midweek with a long period swell at moderate to elevated
heights posing a threat to small craft through Wednesday or as
late as Thursday.

15 knots in the late evening and early morning, then becoming
north early in the morning. Choppy on the bay, diminishing to a
moderate chop in the late evening and overnight.
.MONDAY...North winds 10 to 15 knots. A moderate chop on the bay.
.MONDAY NIGHT...Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots, diminishing to
5 to 10 knots after midnight, then becoming north early in the
morning. A moderate chop on the bay, diminishing to light chop
after midnight.

in the afternoon. Light chop on the bay.
