229 FXUS64 KBRO 101102 AAB AFDBRO Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Brownsville TX 602 AM CDT Sun Aug 10 2025 ...New AVIATION... .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1006 PM CDT Sat Aug 9 2025 The forecast remains on track. Mid-level high pressure over the Desert Southwest and across the southeastern US into the eastern Gulf will continue into the middle of next week before the high pressure over the eastern Gulf spreads into Texas. With troughing currently over the western Gulf daily chances of precipitation (20- 30%) will continue, primarily along the sea breeze each afternoon through Wednesday. This activity could bring brief heavy rainfall, cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds. As the aforementioned high pressure expands westward, subsidence will decrease precip chances to under 15% Thursday through Saturday. Near to slightly above normal temps will continue through the forecast period. Heat indices of 105 to 110 degrees is expected each day though a few locations, especially across the inland coastal counties, may briefly have heat indices exceed 110 degrees. The timeframe and coverage remains below Heat Advisory criteria but can not rule out the possibility of a Heat Advisory being needed towards the end of the week into the weekend. At the very least, SPSs will likely be needed. Heat risk will remain Moderate (level 2 of 4) to Major (level 3 of 4) every day. && .AVIATION...
