...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS TODAY IN MASSACHUSETTS...

.DISCUSSION...

For northeast Massachusetts dry conditions continue today with
minimum relative humidity values around 25 percent Thursday
afternoon. Wind direction are from the north to northeast with
gusts up to 20 mph.

Overnight, humidity values recover to 55 percent, and wind
direction from the north/northwest between 5 and 10 mph.

...Possible Red Flag Conditions Friday...

Anticipate lower humidity and stronger winds on Friday across the
region. For northeast Massachusetts, minimum relative humidity
values range from 20 to 25 percent. Wind direction are from the
northwest with gusts up to 25 mph.

.OUTLOOK...Saturday through Wednesday

No end to the dry weather pattern. Gusty winds and low humidity
again Saturday. Sunday will see weaker winds, but still a very
dry airmass. Slightly higher minimum relative humidity values in
the 45 to 60 percent range are expected for early next week.
