982 FZUS51 KBOX 191504 CWFBOX Coastal Waters Forecast for Massachusetts and Rhode Island National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 1004 AM EST Sun Jan 19 2025 Coastal waters from the Merrimack River MA to Watch Hill RI out to 25 NM ANZ200-200400- 1004 AM EST Sun Jan 19 2025 .Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters... Low pressure tracks northeast and crosses the Benchmark this evening. This low will continue to intensify Mon as it lifts north through the Canadian Maritimes. This will result in an arctic airmass moving across the waters in the Mon through Wed time frame with gusty NW winds. Areas of moderate freezing spray are also expected over some of our waters too. A ridge of high pressure moves across the waters Wed night. This will be followed by a wave of low pressure that will likely pass southeast of the Benchmark late Thu night and Fri. $$ ANZ250-200400- Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary- 1004 AM EST Sun Jan 19 2025 ...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM EST THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... .THIS AFTERNOON...N winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt.
