VFR for the Denver area terminals through tonight. There will be
areas of dense fog in the valleys north of Denver through about
14z. A cold front will bring northwest winds starting 14z-15z.
A short period (less than 2 hours) with gusts to 40 knots is
possible, then gusts in the 20 to 30 knot range are expected the
rest of the day, with speeds decreasing and the direction becoming
northeast after 21z.

For KCOS and KPUB..VFR conditions are expected at both TAF sites,
with speed and directional shear likely early this morning for KCOS
as stronger westerlies continue just above the surface. A cold front
will pass through both stations this evening, bringing stronger
northeasterly to easterly winds with gusts to 22kt, along with mid-
level cloud decks down to around 4,000ft. There is a low end chance
for MVFR ceilings early Monday morning at both stations given the
upslope wind direction, though chances were too low (less than 30%)
to include in the TAFs at this time as moisture looks to be
insufficient.
For KALS..Mist and MVFR ceilings will be briefly possible early this
morning, with improvement and VFR conditions likely from around 14Z
onwards. Gusty southwest winds are expected for Sunday afternoon
with continued mid and upper-level cloud cover. Showers and lowering
ceilings will become more likely after 12Z Monday morning.

A cold front moving through colorado extending from KEGE
southwest to the Four Corners continues to push to the southeast
with showers and a few thunderstorms. There are snow showers in
the cold air behind the front currently at KHDN and likely at
KASE before 15Z. This front will exit the region by 18Z with
showers ending in the early afternoon. Expect conditions below
ILS breakpoints at KHDN, KRIL, KEGE and KASE through about 15Z.
Look for clearing conditions with breezy west to northwest winds

southwest to the Four Corners continues to push to the southeast
with showers and a few thunderstorms. There are snow showers in
the cold air behind the front currently at KHDN and likely at
KASE before 15Z. This front will exit the region by 18Z with
showers ending in the early afternoon. Expect conditions below
ILS breakpoints at KHDN, KRIL, KEGE and KASE through about 15Z.
Look for clearing conditions with breezy west to northwest winds
after 18Z with winds dropping off after 00Z. Mid-level clouds
and showers start moving into southwestern Colorado after 06Z.

Most terminals will remain VFR through the TAF period,
excluding KCOD, KJAC, and KWRL. Chances are about 1 out of 4
that conditions will drop to MVFR/IFR at the aforementioned
terminals, thus PROB30 groups have been continued for them. All
rain and snow should dissipate or exit the area by 20Z Sunday.
Wind will also continue to be breezy to strong today, especially
through mid afternoon. Wind will gradually drop Sunday as the
weather system moves away and winds decouple after sunset. Wind
gusts will generally be in the 20-30 knot range tonight into
Sunday afternoon, with higher gusts around 40 knots possible at
KRKS and KCPR.

Lingering fog at KAIA should clear imminently as the frontal
boundary passes through. After that, VFR conditions are
expected for the forecast period. Strong westerly winds will
affect all terminals through about 00z today. Regular gust
between 35 and 45 knots can be expected in the peak period
between 15z and 21z. Winds will begin to weaken after 21z and
then drop off quickly and become variable between 00z and 01z.
The direction will settle on south to southeast by Monday
morning and quickly become gusty at KLAR.

VFR conditions are anticipated over the KGLD and KMCK terminals
through the 06Z TAF period. Mostly clear to clear conditions are
anticipated through roughly 02-04Z over the terminals before we
begin to see an increase to FEW at the end of the period. As a
cold front progresses across the High Plains, wind are expected
to shift from the south/souht-southwest to the northwest around
14-16Z over both terminals and out of the north between 21-23Z.
Current breezy conditions with gusts of 25-35 kts will decrease
over the terminals by 10Z this morning and return with gusts of
25-30 kts possible behind the frontal passage. During the late
evening hours after 03Z, winds should become more northeasterly
and decrease to ~5-10 kts over the terminals.
In addition to the breezy surface winds, the KMCK terminal will
experience LLWS around 200 ft out of the south-southwest at
45-50 kts through ~10Z due to a low-level jet moving over the
area.

VFR will continue through this TAF period, with increasing high
clouds through 12z Mon, and increasing/lowering midlevel clouds
after 12z Mon. High confidence MVFR stratus ceilings will
overspread the airports just after this TAF period, after 18z
Mon. A strong cold front will race through SW KS around 00z Mon,
with a sharp increase in NE winds. Followed the strongest wind
guidance, with NE wind gusts of 28-33 kts this evening.
Northeast winds will remain elevated/strong through the
remainder of the TAF period, averaging 15-18 kts, gusting
near 25 kts. Scattered rain showers are expected after 18z Mon,
but kept this set of TAFs dry.

Areas of IFR to MVFR ceilings across west central and the middle
RGV through mid this morning among isolated to scattered showers.
Shower and isolated thunderstorm activity will focus across
southern areas, including KONM, KSRR, and KROW during the
afternoon and early evening. Some periods of clearing in clouds
across far northwest areas, including KFMN, Sunday afternoon and
evening. BKN mid level clouds Sunday night into Monday morning
with ceilings gradually lowering in the last few hours of the TAF
period. Potential for MVFR ceilings across western and central
valley locations along with increasing shower activity across
southwest areas just before daybreak Monday.
