A passing convective shower may impact KALS briefly later this

period of time, Otherwise diurnal surface wind flow is
anticipated.

Skies have cleared over the last 6 hours. These clear skies will
persist through the morning, before showers and thunderstorms
begin to develop over the terrain around 18z. These showers and
storms will be capable of producing strong, gusty outflow winds,
small hail, and frequent lightning. Higher elevation terminals,
KTEX in particular, will see a small chance of brief heavy
rain. Aside from where showers or storms impact winds, the winds
will follow typical terrain driven patterns. VFR conditions
will prevail for the next 24 hours.

rain. Aside from where showers or storms impact winds, the winds

.AVIATION...KSLC...Predominantly VFR conditions are expected to
continue throughout the TAF period. High-based thunderstorms
capable of producing gusty and erratic outflow winds are expected
to develop early this afternoon. There is a 30% chance for storms
to impact the terminal between roughly 20-00z, with potential to
produce outflow gusts between 30-40 kts. Otherwise, winds remain
generally light this morning out of the southeast, becoming more
southerly after 15z.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...A monsoonal moisture push
into the region will lead to more widespread thunderstorm coverage
today. Impacts to flight categories are not likely given the
high-based nature of these storms. However, storms that develop
this afternoon will be capable of producing gusty and erratic
outflow winds between 30-40 kts if they move into the vicinity of
any regional terminals. Otherwise, VFR conditions to prevail with
increasing mid-to-high level clouds through the remainder of the
TAF period. Only exception remains KBCE where periods of MVFR/IFR
conditions are possible through roughly 15z from VIS restrictions
due to smoke from nearby wildfires.

with increasing mid level clouds through the afternoon. Winds
will increase with a breeze up to 18kts for BPI/PNA/RKS/CPR
after 17-20Z with daytime heating. PROB30 groups for storm
activity and gusty winds generally between 21-00Z at all but
WRL/CPR with highly low confidence at those two locations. After
00Z, expect mid level clouds to linger into the overnight hours
as winds decrease to less than 10kts after 04Z with radiational
cooling after sunset. More widespread storm activity expected
for Wednesday afternoon/evening.

VFR conditions are expected to prevail through the day. However,
we are seeing some stratus forming around the KMCK area, but no
observations are reporting ceilings below 5,000 ft AGL, and that
should persist. We cannot fully rule out the potential of
ceilings approaching MVFR conditions from decaying storms at
KMCK around 3-9Z, but chances are less than 15%. Besides these
impacts, the potential for precipitation being a factor at
either site today is less than 10%. Winds will be picking up
today, generally from the southeast with gusts around 20-25 kts,
but some gusts of 30 kts are possible.

to 15 kts out of the east to southeast. Keeping PROB30s out of the
TAFs. Right now best chance for a shwoer/storm would be KAMA, and
may have VCSH in the coming hours. Still will deal with
thunderstorms via amendments. MVFR conditions due to low cigs at
KAMA and KDHT possible after 9z Wednesday.

A weak, but moist upper level disturbance is producing increased
clouds, areas of rain, and a few embedded thunderstorms over
portions of east central to southeastern New Mexico early this
morning. The coverage of rain is expected to expand in this area
through the late morning and early afternoon with a few fleeting
and temporary bouts of MVFR ceilings and visibility in occasional
downpours. Areas that could see more prolonged reductions would
include KSRR and KROW. In western New Mexico, heavier showers and
stronger thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon and early
evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of small hail, gusty
downburst winds, and brief heavy downpours. Areas of MVFR ceilings
and visibility will redevelop in southeastern to east central
areas late tonight as batches of rain increase along with patchy
fog.
