...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ELBERT...SOUTH
CENTRAL WASHINGTON AND NORTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTIES THROUGH 130 AM
MDT...

At 1242 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 13 miles north of Limon to 4 miles north of
Genoa to 11 miles southwest of Hugo, or along a line extending from
53 miles southwest of Akron to 22 miles west of Flagler to 60 miles
east of Colorado Springs. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Limon, Hugo, Arriba, Genoa, and Thurman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
