...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Temperatures from 10 above to 10 below zero with very cold
  wind chills as low as 25 below zero expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and northeast
  Colorado, including the Denver metro area.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM MST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
  The coldest conditions will be from late tonight through early
  Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Unsheltered people will have a high risk of frostbite and
hypothermia. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and
neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use
generators or grills inside.

If you must go outside, dress in several layers of warm clothing,
including a hat, face mask, and gloves. Avoid prolonged outdoor
exposure.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm and dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

...EXTREME COLD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills of 35 to 50 below zero
  possible.

* WHERE...North Park, Rabbit Ears Pass, Grand and Summit Counties
  Below 9000 Feet, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow
  Range, The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the
  Indian Peaks, and South Park.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Hypothermia will occur with prolonged exposure to the
  wind and very cold temperatures. Frostbite is likely after several
  minutes of exposed skin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must go outside, dress in several layers of warm clothing,
including a hat, face mask, and gloves. Avoid prolonged outdoor
exposure.
