...RED FLAG WARNING FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND HIGH VALLEYS UNTIL 8 PM
THIS EVENING...
...HOT AND DRY THROUGH FRIDAY...

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north
central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Critical fire weather conditions will occur through this evening
across the mountains and high valleys. Winds will gust to 25-35
mph and humidity readings will drop to 7-11 percent. That means
any new or existing wildfires will be capable of rapid spread.
Be ready to take action should a wildfire start nearby. It will be
hot in the lower elevations, with most of the plains and I-25
Corridor reaching the mid to upper 90s today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Critical fire weather conditions will likely remain in place through
Friday, with a continuation of hot, dry and breezy weather. High
temperatures will reach 95 to 100 degrees on the plains and I-25
Corridor each day. Those sensitive to heat should remain in air
conditioning if possible, seek shade when outdoors, and avoid
strenuous activity during the daylight hours.

Some relief of the hot, dry weather is expected by this weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be required today or tonight.
