This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow will fall over the mountains and across most of the plains
this morning. An inch or two of snow is expected in Denver and the
northern foothills and mountain valleys, with 2 to 4 inches in
areas southwest, south, and southeast of Denver. The northeast
plains will have less snow. North winds will increase this
morning, with gusts up to 40 mph on the plains. This will cause
areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially across Douglas and
Elbert counties. The snow will end by midday but the wind will
continue this afternoon. Some impacts to travel are expected,
generally in areas along and south of I-70 with the worst
conditions in Douglas and Elbert counties.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Strong downsloping westerly winds are expected over the mountains
and foothills east of the divide Friday night into early Saturday.
Gusts to 65 mph are possible. The next system will bring snow to
the mountains late Friday night through the weekend. Hazardous
winter driving conditions are expected. Below normal temperatures
will continue over the forecast area well into next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snowfall reports from spotters will be appreciated.
