This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow will increase from south to north across our forecast area this
morning. The Palmer Divide and east-central plains will see
moderate to heavy snow through this evening. Snowfall totals will
be between 6 to 10" today and hazardous to nearly impossible
travel will exist. Across the Denver metro and towards Akron,
there will be a sharp gradient of snowfall amounts. In the
southern suburbs of Denver, up to 4" of snow may fall. While on
the north side of the metro and towards Akron, 0.5-2" are
forecast. Travel impacts will be much less north of I-70 today but
there will be slick and snow-covered roads nonetheless. Snow
tapers off this evening before moving back in Friday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Moderate to heavy snow is possible over the southern half of the
forecast area on Friday into Saturday morning as the storm system
of the last few days is finally expected to push out of the area.
Some of the plains could see up to 12 inches of snow mainly from
Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.

Dry conditions with warming temperatures are expected Sunday and
Monday with the next quick moving system to bring a chance of snow
to the mountains and a slight chance of rain to the plains.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed but spotters are encouraged
to report snowfall amounts.
