This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

It will be very cold this morning with temperatures below zero at
sunrise. The mountain valleys will be the coldest with
temperatures as cold as 30 below zero. Temperatures slowly rise
into the single digits and teens for the afternoon.

A reinforcing shot of arctic air moves in tonight pushing
temperatures below zero again. Wind chill values on the plains may
reach as low as 30 degrees below zero, creating danger for people,
livestock, and pets spending time outside. In addition to the
bitterly cold conditions, a round of light snow is expected tonight
and into Monday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Very cold temperatures are expected to continue Monday and Monday
night with highs in the single digits across much of the forecast
area with some below zero readings over the higher mountains.
Monday nights readings are expected to drop below zero on the
plains with the potential for temperatures plunging as low as 25
to 40 degrees below zero across the higher mountains and mountain
valleys Monday night. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25
below zero on the plains and as low as 45 below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snowfall reports from spotters will be appreciated.
