.DISCUSSION...Temperatures will remain in the low 70s today with
RH dropping down to the low teens for the area surrounding the
prescribed burn location. Light westerly winds are expected
through today before increasing around 2100 tonight. The stronger
winds should remain at the higher elevations to the west and
north of the burn site. Prevailing winds of 10-15 mph are expected
with some gusts to 25 mph until around 0900 Wednesday morning.
Poor RH recovery is expected overnight tonight ranging from 25-35%
across the area.
Wednesday will be slightly warmer and drier, with afternoon RH
dropping to 10-13%. Winds are expected to remain West/WNW between
8-15 mph with gusts to 21 mph. Near-critical fire weather
conditions are expected. Overnight RH recoveries should improve
slightly Wednesday night ranging from 35-41%.
Thursday will remain dry with afternoon RH dropping into the low
teens once again. Winds are expected to improve over Wednesday`s
and become light southerly in the morning, transitioning to
easterly while remaining light in the afternoon. After 0900, wind
gusts should remain under 12 mph throughout the day.
