THURSDAY EVENING...
.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Wednesday...
High pressure will lead to very warm temperatures and dry conditions
on Wednesday, with no precipitation expected region-wide. Winds will
remain light and thus limit fire weather concerns.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday night through Sunday...
A weak low pressure system will bring breezier conditions to most
areas Thursday afternoon. Increased cloud cover and the potential
for isolated afternoon showers/thunderstorms will help moderate
humidity levels for most areas, however a few locations around
the Denver metro and Park County will still sustain low humidity of
12 to 16%. Thus, critical fire weather conditions are favored to
develop across South Park with wind gusts near 30 mph expected,
with elevated fire weather conditions for the plains as well as
Middle and North Parks.
Increased moisture will lead to better chances for afternoon
showers and thunderstorms Friday into Saturday, and taper fire
weather concerns.
