.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...Another weak front will slip
across the plains tonight. Strong radiational cooling will occur
with mostly clear skies and light winds, with strong inversions
developing. Flow aloft will remain light with poor smoke dispersal
holding in almost all areas through Thursday. Temperatures on
Thursday will be a few degrees cooler than today.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...Above normal
temperatures and dry conditions will continue through the
weekend. Generally light winds are expected until Sunday, and with
persistent ridging in place, smoke dispersal will be poor until
winds pick up on Sunday. With a warming trend through Sunday,
minimum relative humidity values may drop into the teens across
portions of the plains and foothills, but with light winds in
place and moisture expected to begin increasing ahead of an
approaching storm system on Sunday, no critical fire weather is
expected.
