Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
325 AM MDT Sun Jun 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Isolated to scattered showers
and storms are forecast again today. The higher elevations, mainly
along/south of I-70 have the best chance of seeing a wetting rain,
though this will likely be pretty localized. Temperatures will be
warmer across the I-25 corridor and adjacent plains compared to
yesterday. With above normal moisture across the region, minimum
humidity values should remain above 25-35% in the forecast area.
Smoke dispersal this afternoon should generally be fair to very
good.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday through Thursday...
Generally, scattered showers and storms are possible each afternoon
Monday through Wednesday. Wetting rains are unlikely by Tuesday and
Wednesday. Drier conditions are possible towards Thursday through
the end of the week.

Minimum relative humidities continue above 20 percent Monday.
Marginal fire weather conditions could return by Wednesday for parts
of the high country above the I-70 corridor as relative humidities
drop near 16-20 percent and westerly winds producing gusts up to 30
mph.

Smoke dispersal conditions reach very good to excellent both Monday
and Tuesday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
