.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Scattered light snow showers
will over the mountains today with little additional accumulation
expected. Temperatures will remain below normal today for the
all the forecast area. Humidity values will remain quite high
all day today with no critical fire weather issues expected.
Smoke dispersal will be good across the northeast plains
this afternoon, but poor for rest of the forecast area.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday through Wednesday...A warmer and
drier pattern is expected to develop by Sunday and continue into
next week. Breezy conditions on Monday will lead to elevated to
critical fire weather conditions across much of the eastern
plains. An increase in moisture will lead to at least a few
showers or thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours on
Tuesday and Wednesday. Smoke dispersal will generally be good to
excellent during the forecast period.
