.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Saturday...
Snow will continue through tonight in the mountains, foothills and urban
corridor with several inches of additional accumulation. Heaviest amounts
will remain focused along and south of the I-70 corridor in the mountains,
with 5 to 10" of additional accumulations possible for higher elevations.
Most areas will be dry Saturday outside of lingering snow showers in the
mountains, but humidity will remain elevated with ample cloud cover
persisting. Smoke dispersal will be relatively poor for most areas.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday night through Wednesday...Lingering
snow showers will continue across the high country Saturday night
with light accumulation possible. A warming and drying trend is
expected Sunday into early next week. Some elevated to near
critical fire weather conditions will be possible across the
plains Monday afternoon. Isolated to scattered showers or perhaps
a thunderstorm will be possible, mainly mid/late next week. Poor
to fair smoke dispersal is forecast Saturday. Good to excellent
dispersal is forecast Sunday through Tuesday.
