Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
318 PM MDT Sun Jun 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Monday...
Increased moisture over the high country Monday. Relative humidity
values stay above 20 percent across the plains. Scattered showers
and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Smoke dispersal
Good to Very Good.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday...Isolated to
scattered showers and storms are possible each afternoon Monday
through Wednesday. Wetting rains are unlikely by Tuesday and
Wednesday, with the exception of the far eastern plains on
Wednesday. Drier conditions are expected Thursday through the end
of the week.

Minimum relative humidities between 9 and 15 percent combined with
northwesterly wind gusts to 30 mph may lead to elevated to near
critical fire weather conditions across portions of the mountains,
high mountain valleys, foothills and adjacent plains on the 4th of
July.

Smoke dispersal conditions reach very good to excellent both Monday
and Tuesday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
