.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Very cold conditions will
continue today. A reinforcing shot of cold air moves in late
tonight behind an arctic cold front. This system will also bring
light snow late tonight and into Monday morning.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday through Thursday...Very cold
conditions will continue into Tuesday morning. It will be windy
across the Front Range Mountains and foothills from Monday night
through Friday with gusts between 45 mph and 60 mph possible. In
addition, a warming trend begins Tuesday as the downslope winds
scour out the colder air. Some cold pools are likely to remain
keeping cold and stable air in place. This will be mainly in the
mountain valleys.
