Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW Idaho and SE Oregon
National Weather Service Boise ID
341 PM MDT Sun Jun 30 2024

...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TODAY MAINLY IN HIGH TERRAIN...
...VERY HOT AND DRY LATER THIS WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...
A weakening upper level trough will help isolated thunderstorms
form generally north and east of a Baker City to Idaho City to
Fairfield line, and also in the Owyhees and Southern Highlands.
Small hail and wind gusts to 40 mph are possible with these
storms. Isolated afternoon storms are forecast again in the same
areas tomorrow. Relative humidity recoveries are projected to be
excellent overnight as the colder, wetter airmass moves into the
region. The remainder of the week will be dry with above-normal
temperatures after Thursday.
