...Frost Advisories and Freeze Watches or Warnings Have Ended
Through the Winter...

The Frost and Freeze Program at NWS Birmingham is in effect for each
county until the majority of the county has had a significant
freeze, roughly 30 degrees or less, or until November 25. Thus,
starting tonight, the program has ended for all of Central Alabama
and any additional Frost Advisories, Freeze Watches, or Freeze
Warnings will not be issued. The Frost and Freeze Program will begin
back on March 15.

The Frost and Freeze Program at NWS Birmingham dates have been
coordinated with our partners as well as based on historical trends
and temperatures. Remember, a Freeze Warning is issued any time the
temperatures are expected to drop to freezing or below during the
growing season, and a Frost Advisory is issued whenever frost is
possible during the growing season.
