...The National Weather Service in Birmingham AL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Alabama...

  Tombigbee River At Demopolis Lock and Dam affecting Marengo,
  Greene, Sumter and Hale Counties.

.Heavy rainfall of 4 to 6 inches has occurred since Friday over
portions of the Tombigbee River basin and a flood warning is now in
effect for the Tombigbee River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued Tuesday morning, or sooner if
conditions warrant.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT TO EARLY SATURDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Tombigbee River at Demopolis Lock and Dam.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to early Saturday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 58.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Wednesday morning to a crest of 69.6 feet Thursday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 68.0 feet.
