...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
  counties, Bullock, Lowndes, Macon and Montgomery.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 707 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
    rain have fallen over a short period of time.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Union Springs, Fort Deposit, Mosses, Hayneville, Meadville,
    Pike Road, Gordonville, Sprague, Snowdoun, Pintlala, Sellers,
    Ramer, Strata, Davenport, Pine Level, Shopton, Beechwood,
    Hardaway, Franklin Field and Davisville.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
