301 AM CDT Thu Oct 10 2024 /201 AM MDT Thu Oct 10 2024/

Unseasonably warm low temperatures are expected this morning,
ranging from the mid 40s to mid 50s. Later today, a cold front
will begin to move across the region. Areas ahead of the front
during the afternoon, including south central and eastern North
Dakota, will see one more day of very warm temperatures with highs
in the 80s. It will be cooler but still above average to the
north and west, where highs around 70 degrees are expected.

A cooling trend through the weekend will bring temperatures much
closer to what can normally be expected for mid October. Daytime
highs will mostly be in the 50s and 60s, with 60s being more
widespread on Friday and Saturday, and 50s being more widespread
on Sunday and Monday. Overnight temperatures will also trend much
cooler over this time period, with much of the region looking at a
potential hard freeze early next week.
