.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns are expected to remain low today and through
the upcoming work week. Today will be cool and dry with light
winds. Afternoon humidities will range from 25 to 30 percent
southwest to around 50 percent from the Turtle Mountains into the
James River Valley.
Monday through Wednesday will bring a slow warming trend with dry
weather and generally light winds. Minimum afternoon humidities
each day will be the lowest in southwest ND (25 to 30 percent)
increasing to around 50 percent over eastern portions of central
North Dakota. However, each day with increasing temperatures the
areal extent of lower (25 to 30 percent) humidities will spread
northward into northwest ND and east to the Highway 83 corridor of
central ND. Generally light winds are expected through this
period. As we head into the latter portions of the work week,
winds are forecast to remain light and we should see increasing
moisture, thus higher humidities than earlier in the week. Low
chances for showers and thunderstorms may also enter the forecast
late in the work week.
