...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast North Dakota, including the
  following counties, Dickey, LaMoure, Logan and McIntosh.

* WHEN...Until 915 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over
  roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water
  crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 807 PM CDT, Emergency management, trained spotters, and
    area observations have reported heavy rainfall in the
    advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing
    or expected to begin shortly. Between 2 and 7 inches of rain
    have fallen over the advisory area.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
